My network reference is unavailable or old

Check your internet connection, then refresh the clock. Some networks block NTP traffic. Try another network or a different time source in Settings. An estimated or old reference is not a fresh network check.

How do I measure my watch?

Open My Timepieces, add your watch and capture its displayed time against a fresh reference. Take a second qualifying reading at least 24 hours later. The daily rate is an estimate of the seconds gained or lost per day. A saved difference describes the moment you measured it, not the watch’s current error.

What is free, and what needs an unlock?

The clock, standard analog and digital faces, and setting guide are free. One watch’s first two qualifying readings and its first daily result are also free. Continuing to capture readings, starting new runs and adding timepieces require a one-time in-app unlock. There is no recurring subscription.

Restore a purchase

Use Restore purchases in the app while signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple supplies verified ownership. If a purchase is pending, wait for Apple’s confirmation. For a refund request, visit Apple’s Report a Problem service.

Back up, export or remove your data

Open Settings → Timepiece backup and restore. Export a backup for later restoration, or export measurements as CSV. Restoring replaces the current collection after confirmation and retains a safety copy. Delete all timepiece data removes readings and app-managed safety backups; the app reports if anything could not be removed. Files you exported elsewhere remain yours to delete.

Use Reset clock preferences separately to remove saved time zones and display choices. Neither action removes Apple purchase history.

Manage reminders

Measurement reminders are optional local notifications. Manage them in the app, or change notification permission in iOS Settings. Delivery depends on your device’s notification and Focus settings.

Send diagnostics only if you choose

The app lets you preview redacted diagnostics before sharing. These are not uploaded automatically. You can describe the problem by email without including a diagnostic file.
